“Einstein is said to have said: ‘You should make things as simple as possible, but not simpler’. This is an apt motto for the ‘Einfach Bauen’ research buildings project in Bad Aibling. The research houses force us to think about what we want and need, what we have to do and what we can do. And how they relate to each other. This is as informative as it is inspiring. That’s why Professor Florian Nagler and Dr Ernst Böhm were honoured last week with the ULI Germany Leadership Award 2023 in the Urban Innovation category. Caspar had the honour of delivering the laudation and presenting the award at the Wintergarten Varieté in Berlin.

We also congratulate the other winners: Hannah Helmke, co-founder & CEO of right° in the Young Leader category; Jan Gehl, one of the most important urban theorists in the Urban Planning category; Iris Schöberl in the Real Estate Industry category and Dr Georg Reutter for his life’s work!
