The editorial team of the internationally published trade journal “Archiworld” is highlighting another project by caspar. After Twins in the Park was featured in the “Architecture Competition Annual 2026” (ACA) in the “Winner” category, the monthly AW magazine is now highlighting our repositioning concept for the Park Tower in Frankfurt in its first issue of 2026 in the new “Concept Design” section.

The Park Tower at Frankfurt’s Rothschildpark tells a story of constant transformation. Since its construction in 1972 as the headquarters of the Südwestdeutsche Genossenschafts-Zentralbank, it has been an integral part of the Frankfurt skyline. The building, which stood 96 meters tall at the time (“SGZ Tower”), was briefly the city’s tallest skyscraper. Originally a black steel-and-glass monolith, the building acquired its current dual structure in 2005—a bridge-like extension created two interlocking structures. On behalf of DWS, caspar. will now transform the Park Tower once again to significantly extend its life cycle through sustainable and forward-looking measures. Through this revitalization, the two building sections will merge once again into a harmonious overall structure. The new facade seamlessly connects the structures, while the striking joints—the “Opera Joint” and the “Park Joint”—form a visual and spatial bridge between the Alte Oper and the neighboring park.
